Program:
The rheological characterization of materials is essential in many processes, in order to guarantee adequate performance and optimization. In the same way, the optimization of rheological behaviour is also fundamental in product formulation and development, considering the final application envisaged.
This is true for a wide range of industrial sectors, including applications in health, environment, food and cosmetics, among others. In line with this demand, rheological characterization and equipment have been evolving, the most recent developments involving the use of hybrid equipment, combining the possibility of evaluating simultaneously different materials/product properties, along with rheological ones, to assess more easily the influence of properties such as chemical composition or particle size in the product rheological behaviour.
The main objective of this symposium is to favour the interaction of scientists, engineers, and industrial professionals towards the discussion of the latest developments in the field of rheology concerning product development.
Oral presentations and posters are expected to focus on recent scientific and technological progresses in rheology, especially when applied to product or processes development. Researchers from scientific institutions and industries, including equipment producers, are invited to send their contributions.
The symposium is expected to lead to the opportunity of strengthening the cooperation not only between different scientific areas but also at the intersectoral level.
Topics of interest could include, but are not limited to:
