Ionic Liquids and Deep Eutectic Solvents are the basis of new technologies that offer significant improvements over those traditionally used. They can increase efficient use of raw materials and energy resources, whilst additionally minimising environmental impacts. From an initial concept, to a safe, sustainable, and economically viable process, a lot of research covering fundamental studies to scaled-up processes is required. The main scope of this symposium is the promotion of knowledge, covering all the levels and areas of research, and networking in the field of ionic liquids. The symposium aims to provide a link between the key players: researchers and industrial professionals, who may be interested in the work on these green solvents.
